Real Madrid lower asking price for Manchester United target Raphael Varane

Real Madrid have reportedly lowered their asking price for Raphael Varane this summer.

Diario AS suggest the La Liga giants have lowered their asking price to €50 million from €60 million in order to secure his sale and avoid losing him on a free next year.

Varane, 28, would be a good fit for Manchester United, who are in the transfer market looking for a new centre-back to partner Harry Maguire, and the Frenchman has a number of attributes that fit the bill.

Real Madrid will definitely be without Sergio Ramos at the back next season, with the Spanish veteran announcing that he will join a new club this summer as a free transfer.

Unfortunately for United, Ramos is not what we need. His best days are beyond him whereas Varane still has a lot to offer at the top.

It would be great business if United could get Varane for €50m…
