Donny van de Beek wanted by Serie A trio

Following a disappointing debut campaign in the Premier League with Manchester United, Donny van de Beek is reportedly now wanted by three Serie A clubs.

Van de Beek, 23, joined United last summer from Ajax but struggled to break into the team and to gain trust from his new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He managed just four starts in the Premier League last term.

His dreams of representing the Netherlands at Euro 2020 came to an abrupt end as he sustained an injury blow before the tournament. Even though he wasn’t able to enjoy his football last season, the Netherlands were still planning the European Championships with him rather than without.

The latest in the ongoing saga comes via FCInterNews, with suggestions Van de Beek is wanted by AC Milan, Inter Milan and Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.

Personally, I don’t think he will be one of the players to leave Old Trafford this summer. And it will be interesting to see how he performs in his second season, with a year under his belt living in England, albeit under strange circumstances.

Can you imagine Van de Beek under Mourinho if he thinks Solskjaer has been hard on him?
