If you’re not already sick of the Jadon Sancho transfer saga, you might be at the end of this week. The winger has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the past 12 months but after a move collapsed last summer, there is optimism that a deal can be struck this year.

The 21-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Europe at the moment and despite his tender age, is performing at a higher level than any of Manchester United’s current wide options.

Negotiations between Dortmund and United have been extensively covered on social media but some reports are claiming that they remain at an early stage.

But German journalist Patrick Berger, who is known to have close ties to BVB, has provided an update on the situation and insisted that Jadon Sancho will leave the club.

Berger confirmed earlier this week that Manchester United had lodged two bids for Sancho, but that neither were satisfactory for Dortmund. The second offer is believed to have come in at €85m including bonuses, with BVB reportedly demanding €90m guaranteed plus bonuses.

Berger went on to further state his belief that Sancho will move to Old Trafford this summer: “Last year I said Sancho is staying, this year I am saying he will leave. In the end, I think the transfer will work. United will meet at the point (Dortmund’s demands).”
