Jack Grealish has named the Manchester United player he loved to watch as a kid, sparking suggestions that Aston Villa captain has a soft spot for the club. The winger has emerged as one of the stars of the Premier League recently and is set to be one of the main talking points this summer.
The 25-year-old is currently involved in England’s Euro 2020 campaign but has been happy to get involved with the media, with his recent interview revealing that he ‘loved’ to watch Cristiano Ronaldo come to Villa Park in his younger years.
Grealish is a boyhood Aston Villa fan and a season ticket holder since early, so he will have seen Manchester United’s No7 running towards the Holte End several times.

“When I was a kid I used to love people that would run with the ball,” Grealish told ITV. “I always remember (Cristiano) Ronaldo when he came to Villa Park, I used to love watching him.”
Grealish has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been dealt a blow in his pursuit of the winger. It was revealed on Sunday that despite interest from both Manchester clubs, Grealish is set to stay at Aston Villa for another season.
