Former Manchester United manager and legend of the game Sir Alex Ferguson has given a seal of approval to the possible signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
Having been relentlessly linked with a switch to Old Trafford for the best part of two years, despite missing out on a late approach last year, this summer finally appears to be the time that the Red Devils will get their man.
Despite currently being away on international duty with England for this summer’s delayed Euros 2020, Sancho continues to see his name linked with a move to Old Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.
It has recently been reported that a deal between both United and Dortmund is edging closer and could be announced as soon as the Euros comes to an end next month.
United’s interest in Sancho has been well-documented, but with the young attacker continuing to impress, legend Ferguson has now weighed in.
Speaking exclusively in the most recent written edition of SportBILD (via Sports Witness), Ferguson, when asked about Sancho, said: “I think a lot of Jadon Sancho, with his one-on-one duels, as an assister and scorer, he is extremely dangerous.
“He has so much potential, he helps the team. That’s why he’ll be valuable to England over the course of the tournament.”
