Harry Kane tells Tottenham he wants to leave amid Manchester United interest

Harry Kane has told Tottenham he wants to leave this summer.

That much comes from Sky Sports, but former Manchester United club journalist Sam Pilger adds that the Red Devils are very interested in signing him.

The report from Sky Sports suggests Tottenham have already accepted that Kane’s time at the club is coming to an end. They are said to be making enquiries about replacement centre-forwards ahead of the European Championships.

Of course, Tottenham are reluctant to sell their prized asset, but three clubs have been in touch with the player’s representatives CK66, including United, Man City and Chelsea.

Kane’s preference is to remain in the Premier League and he wants his future sorted before this summer’s competition with the Three Lions.

A Tottenham spokesperson told Sky Sports: “We have a season to finish and we want to finish it as strongly as possible.

“That’s all we are focused on.”

Like I said on the podcast earlier today, I don’t think United need a striker this summer with Edinson Cavani staying for another season. Our priority should be a centre-back, defensive midfielder or a right winger.

But players like Kane don’t come around very often.

  1. Dream on you deluded Manc’s! You just can’t get over not signing him EVERY summer for the last 5 years.
If he does move I hope he goes to City!
