(Video) A ‘happy’ Solskjaer looks forward to Europa League final

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t care about what has been said about him in the past. He may have lost four semi-finals previously as Manchester United manager, but his focus is on the players having something to play for towards the end of the season and as manager he’s definitely achieved that.

I like Ole and think he’s doing a good job with the team. We now stand a very good chance at winning the Europa League and finishing second in the Premier League. Next season we must make the knockout stages of the Champions League, as well as challenge for the Premier League title.

“You’re always happy,” Solskjaer told the press, as seen in the video below – courtesy of UEFA 2020. “No matter what anyone thinks about me.

“When you get to a final, if you’ve been praised or criticised, it doesn’t really matter. When you’re in the final you’ve got a chance at winning the competition, so it’s nothing to do with me personally.

“I’m so happy for the boys that they’ve got something to look forward to at the end of the season.”

We’ve got a Europa League final against Villarreal to look forward to. The La Liga side knocked Arsenal out of the semi-finals winning 2-1 on aggregate and we’ll get a chance to see transfer target Pau Torres in action in the eagerly awaited final.
