As the summer transfer window edges ever closer, rumours have already started circulating linking the Reds with a host of players but one player in particularly has caught the eye.

Today we take a look at whether Harry Kane would be the right signing for Manchester United.

Kane’s link to Old Trafford is really nothing new. For several years now United have been linked with a move for the forward, only for nothing ever concrete to materialise.

But with Edinson Cavani looking likely to be on his way out the club this summer, Solskjaer will be on the lookout for a new striker and Kane would be undoubtedly a perfect fit.

As strikers go, there are none better than Kane. Having scored countless goals for Spurs over the years, the England captain has become arguably the finest striker in European football. His lethal finishing combined with terrific link up play up top makes Kane a real special talent and is one which would be undoubtedly worth breaking the bank for.

There aren’t many players who are worth paying over the odds for but I feel Kane is one of them.

At 27-years-old, Kane is in his prime years as a footballer and United would be getting a player who is in the peak of his powers. United haven’t really had a true out and out goalscorer since the days of Robin van Persie and with Kane in this summer, United would be getting a player who would guarantee 30 goals a season.

His likely £100m price tag may be eye watering but in my opinion he is worth it. United’s squad is crying out for real out and out goal scorer and whilst Rashford and Martial can do a job they don’t hold the same quality leading the line as Kane does which is why I feel Kane would be the right signing for Manchester United this summer.
