I’ve always felt Ravel Morrison is a misunderstood character. Some factors went against him in life, but the story itself is a sad one.
Morrison was the best player in the FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2011, which also included Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard, but he has swapped the football pitch for the octagon after a session.
The former United academy star took to social media to show off a large bruise on his shoulder after a brutal MMA training session with featherweight UFC star Lerone Murphy, as cited by the Daily Star.
Morrison captioned the picture: “Grappling and striking with my new coach”.
Aged 28, Morrison is currently without a football club after leaving Dutch outfit Den Haag at the beginning of the year. It was his 11th club since leaving United in 2012.
Last month, Rio Ferdinand had Morrison on his YouTube channel FIVE.
