Manchester United’s new-signing Amad Diallo scored his first senior goal for the Red Devils against AC Milan in Thursday night’s Europa League tie.
After being named among Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s substitutes, Amad would have been hoping to get make his third appearances in this season’s Europa League.
However, after striker Anthony Martial hobbled off at half-time, seemingly suffering from a slight knock, Amad was thrust into the limelight, still with the second 45-minutes to go.
Despite only coming on at the break, it took the teenager just five-minutes to bag his first-ever goal for United.
An excellently taken quick lobbed ball from midfielder Bruno Fernandes carved the Rossoneri’s defence wide-open.
Taking full advantage of the space afforded to him, Amad was quick to pounce on Fernandes’ inch-perfect pass and seamlessly reenacted former striker Javier Hernandez’s infamous backwards-style header.
Although he had his back to the goal, the talented teenager was able to successfully loop the ball over AC Milan’s commanding goalkeeper, Gigi Donnarumma.
Despite standing well over six feet, five inches tall, the usually rock-solid shot-stopper was left helpless as Amad’s perfect effort found it’s way into the Italian’s net.
In light of the Ivorian’s recent goalscoring heroics, after scoring his first-ever goal against AC Milan, Amad now joins an elite list of names.
