According to a recent report from Todo Fichajes, Manchester United are set to offer Italian side Fiorentina £26m (€30m) for centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.
Milenkovic, 23, has been strongly linked with a move away from the club he joined back in 2017.
After enjoying several successful seasons at the heart of Fiorentina’s defence, Milenkovic has recently seen his stock rise.
Tipped to become one of Europe’s best centre-backs, Milenkovic has seen his name linked with clubs such as Juventus, AC Milan and even Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United.
United have been in the market for a new centre-back for quite some time now.
Rumoured to be targeting a defender who can successfully partner captain Harry Maguire, there are claims the Red Devils could turn their attentions to Milenkovic.
With his contract set to expire next summer is has been widely-reported the Serbian defender will not renew his deal, prompting suggestions he could be moved on this summer.
The latest in the ongoing saga comes from Todo Fichajes, who claim that in an attempt to get ahead of the chasing pack, United’s hierarchy is preparing a bid within the region of £26m.
