Manchester United will be one of a number of clubs on red alert following the news that Borussia Dortmund are already planning for striker Erling Haaland to leave in the summer.

Haaland, 20, has enjoyed a monumental rise to the forefront of European football following a truly remarkable 12-months.

Since joining Dortmund from RB Salzburg last January, even the most experienced football brain would have had a tough time predicting the star’s incredible output.

After featuring in just 44 matches for the Black and Yellows, the prolific Norweigan has already racked up 43 goals and 11 assists, in all competitions.

The striker’s incredible form has naturally drawn intense speculation that some of football’s biggest clubs are working hard trying to sign him.

One club who have been linked with a move from Haaland, even from his days with RB Salzburg, is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.

After previously managing the 20-year-old boy wonder at FK Molde, Solskjaer’s earlier guidance has undoubtedly had a hand in the Dortmund striker’s development.

Recent reports have circulated which suggest the talented forward could be available for upwards of £68m, with the likes of Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid also heavily linked.

However, as Haaland looks all but certain to be football’s next big transfer, the latest in the ongoing saga comes from Eurosport, who claim Dortmund’s officials are already planning for their star’s exit.

The report states that whilst Dortmund ‘hope’ they won’t lose their main-man in the summer window, they acknowledge that football’s big hitters from Spain, Italy and England are all chasing his signature.

In fact, it has been claimed that the Black and Yellows are so concerned Haaland will move in the summer, they’ve even highlighted Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri as a possible replacement.

Do you think Haaland will leave Dortmund in the summer, if so, where do you think he’ll go? – Let us know in the comments.
