Man United could offer West Ham trio of players in exchange for Declan Rice

Manchester United are reportedly open to the idea of including any one of Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic or Phil Jones in a potential player plus cash offer to West Ham, in exchange for midfielder Declan Rice.

After seemingly emerging as a strong summer transfer target for Chelsea, Rice has seen his stock rise dramatically over the last 12-months.

However, despite being hotly tipped to rejoin the club where he started his career, Rice’s proposed move to the Blues failed to materialise following the sacking of former manager Frank Lampard.

West Ham will be thankful they were able to keep hold of their star man, but despite dodging a summer bullet, when it comes to losing Rice, the Hammers are not out of the woods just yet.

The latest club rumoured to be big admirers of the 22-year-old midfielder is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.

After building a good relationship which saw Jesse Lingard join the Londoners on a short-term loan during the winter window, it has been claimed United may look to try and negotiate a deal for Rice.

It has been suggested that in an attempt to drive down West Ham’s reported £50m asking price, the club could add a player into their offer.

According to a recent report from 90min, United’s hierarchy are open to the possibility of offering any one of a number of fringe players to David Moyes, in exchange for Rice.

The report lists on-loan midfielder Lingard as well as defensive midfielder Matic and out-of-favour centre-back Jones.

  1. J dont believe it. You’ve repeated the same old nonsense for about the third time. Get a grip Rice will not be going to Manchester’s second team . Not the slightest chance. You appear to take west Ham m as complete idiots. You either sell lingard at a reasonable price or it doesn’t happen. Simply or yoe can keep a player who quite plainly doesn’t want to be there.
