Manchester United draw AC Milan in Europa League last 16

Manchester United face AC Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League.

The Red Devils booked their place in the round of 16 after beating Real Sociedad 4-0 over two legs.

Now the attention turns to coming up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

My initial thoughts are how are we going to cope defensively with his aerial threat? But we’ll leave those concerns for another day, it’ll probably come down to our forwards outscoring theirs.

I suspect the game will be built around Edinson Cavani and Ibrahimovic. Team-mates from their PSG days before going on to play for United.

It’s an exciting tie and I fancy us to beat AC Milan over two legs. You don’t get fixtures like this in the Europa League very often.

Manchester United loanee Diogo Dalot will be eligible to play.

Like Paul Scholes said on BT Sport last night, you look at the other teams left in the competition and United have the best squad. This is a competition Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be looking to add to his CV this season, and that would help bring a winning mentality to the squad.
