Marcus Rashford opens the scoring against Newcastle United.
The Manchester United forward cut in and beat the Magpies’ goalkeeper at his near post.
He scored on Thursday night and again today to make it 18 for the season. That’s a pretty good return for a player who has been dealt some criticism of social media of late.
I knew as I watched, when he cut in, that the goal netting would be hit with the ball.
Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow should be doing better at his near post, but we’re delighted Rashford was able to take advantage of the situation.
