Exclusive: Man United and Juventus frontrunners to land highly-rated Celtic goalkeeper

Manchester United are keen to land Celtic’s highly-rated goalkeeper Vincent Angelini.

Angelini, 17, is part of Celtic’s youth academy and despite his young age, the six-foot, three inch tall shot-stopper is attracting serious interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including United.

The hugely talented keeper, who shares duel nationality with both Scotland and Italy, has already been called up to represent Italy’s under-18s.

With the world at his feet, Angelini is facing impending offers from a plethora of clubs, both in England’s top-flight as well as Italy’s.

It has recently been reported by Tutto Mercato Web that Lazio, Fiorentina, AC Milan, Everton, Southampton and United are all casting a keen eye over the teenage keeper.

However, after obtaining exclusive information from a close source, Stretty News understands that United are frontrunners to land the 17-year-old, with Serie A champions Juventus also expressing the most interest.

The Red Devils’ recruitment officials have been continually making enquiries over the possibility of landing Angelini.

It is our understanding that the club are desperate to continue their recent and impressive youth recruitment, with the next position highlighted being the one in-between the sticks.

A factor which makes Angelini’s situation even more appealing is that he out of contract at Celtic in the summer.

We understand that the teenager is set to reject an offer to renew at Celtic Park and will therefore be available to leave, for free.
