Manchester United are today being linked with a move for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish — who is no stranger to speculation in MUFC columns.
The Athletic claims Grealish reportedly still has admirers at United which could see the club firm up their interest in the player if Paul Pogba gets his wish to leave Old Trafford.
Grealish has been brilliant in the Premier League again this season, and he seems to be getting better with time. It’s also worth noting that he leads on the pitch at Villa Park and is a very important player at his boyhood club.
It seems clear that Grealish would be an excellent signing for United, or any side in the Premier League for that matter, as the English international has shown a great deal of consistency playing in one of the poorer Premier League sides.
He pretty much single-handedly kept them in the top flight last season.
Pogba has been out of form and it’s clear he wants to leave. Grealish is an additional option to Donny van de Beek, and a far better one than Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Daniel James.
Our priority is not only to stop leaking so many goals, but converting our own chances. A player like Grealish would bring greater creativity to the team than Pogba has done for the past four years.
This could be a potential transfer to keep an eye on.
