Hugely impressive Alex Telles stat will have fans licking their lips

Manchester United new-boy Alex Telles has kicked life at Old Trafford off with a bang after it emerged that no other squad player has created as many Champions League chances as the Brazilian defender.

Telles, 27, joined United from FC Porto on deadline day in the summer in a transfer which cost the Reds’ hierarchy just £13.5m, as per Transfermarkt.

Since his recent arrival and after making his competitive debut against Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League, Telles was forced to miss the next run of games due to a positive COVID-19 test.

However, now back and fully fit, the South American also appears to be firing on all cylinders.

United’s new 27-year-old was named in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting-11 for tonight’s match against Istanbul and the left-back did not disappoint.

In light of Telles’ brilliant performance a remarkable stat has emerged which confirms that no other player among United’s ranks have created more chances than the Brazilian.

What makes Telles’ contributions even more impressive is the fact he has featured for just 157-minutes in this season’s Champions League out of a possible 360.

  1. wow it’s impressive for alex keep up with the spirit we what to see man utd thriving higher and higher in all compettion

  2. Telles has been a breath of fresh air, since that debut against PSG. Just a cautionary note, ManUtd seems to suffer from new player bounce. A new player comes in and looks like a world beater, but after a few weeks they seem to level out onto the plane of mediocrity. It reveals the imbalance in the squad, the sparseness of options, and the lack of identity. Let’s hope we turn the corner soon.
