Jerome Boateng hails Marcus Rashford for his work off-the-field

Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has heaped praise on Marcus Rashford for his work off-the-field.

During a challenging time for the global population as a whole, Rashford has took time to help children in need across the UK. His campaign to end child food poverty has forced the UK government into two U-turns, as per The Guardian, and he’s just launched a book club to help children benefit from ‘escapism’.

Boateng is doing bits of his own, too. The World Cup-winner is helping food charity Tafel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The German has hailed the “exemplary” efforts of Rashford as the United forward joins him in the fight for social change.

Speaking to GOAL, Boateng said: “He is already very far for his age and is absolutely exemplary. One can only compliment him for his commitment.”

Rashford has stunned everyone this year and has become an inspiration for children worldwide.

He missed out on international duty with England due to a shoulder problem, but we hope to see him back in action this weekend when United host West Brom.

The Baggies have had a difficult start to the new season and we really need to get our first home win of the season.
