Carlo Ancelotti plotting January move for Man United’s Daniel James

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are reportedly planning a shock move for Manchester United’s Daniel James as soon as the January transfer window opens.

James, 23, joined United last summer from then Championship side Swansea in a move which cost £16m, as per Transfermarkt.

After enjoying a dream debut against Chelsea in a match which saw the 23-year-old score his side’s fourth of the game, James has gone on to struggle to find consistent form.

The young Welshman has been directly involved in just 11 goals from 51 appearances in all competitions.

However, despite James bagging a dream move just over 12-months ago, the Welshman could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

According to a recent report from Football Insider, Everton are keen to make a move for the winger in January.

It has been reported that Ancelotti is desperate to inject some pace to his attacking front line with James seemingly at the top of their winter shopping list.

Football Insider’s report does state that it is unknown whether or not United will be open to allowing their winger leave at this stage.

James was last in action during Wales’ Nations League match against Finland where he scored a wonder strike to put his country 2-0 up.
