A lot can be said about Twitter not doing enough to protect its users from online abuse.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been subject to more negative tweets (28.5%) than any other footballer in the Premier League.

There are two United players in the list (top 10) for the most trolled players in England’s top flight division. David de Gea comes in at tenth with 15.2% negative tweets.

Interestingly, Chelsea’s new signing Thiago Silva is ninth despite only joining the club this summer, though the research was carried out between August 6-15 September, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

It’s crazy that Rashford gets more hate online than other footballers after all the individual work he’s done to keep the UK’s children fed during the pandemic, as per Sky Sports.

Rashford may get hate on Twitter, but not here at Stretty News!
