Penarol starlet Facundo Pellistri will join Manchester United’s first team right away instead of settling in with the youth teams.
That is according to the Telegraph, as James Ducker reports the Uruguayan ‘is expected to be parachuted straight into the first team.’
The 18-year-old will cost United a transfer fee worth £9m, as per Ducker, while Amad Traore is expected to sign but return to Atalanta until January after costing an initial £18.2m with a further £9.1m in add-ons.
Ducker’s report also contains information that doesn’t sound too good for United centre-back Chris Smalling. AS Roma are facing a race against time to get a projected £18.2m deal done before the 7pm Italian deadline.
The reliable United hack says the prospect of a loan move for either Ismaila Sarr or Ousmane Dembele fading.
Also in here, 18yo winger Facundo Pellistri, whose costing c£9m from Penarol, is expected to be parachuted straight into 1st team squad. Amad Traore is costing an initial £18.2m with a further £9.1m in add ons. Will stay at Atalanta for now and arrive in Manchester in Jan https://t.co/V6OdGGfEMo

It’s promising for young Pellistri to be joining the first team right away.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to give the youngster time to adapt to the Premier League, but we are excited to see what he will bring to the table with the deal all but confirmed.
The manager’s way with young players has been a credit since getting the United job.
