Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign the highly-rated centre-back Willy Kambwala from Ligue 1 side Sochaux.
Kambwala, 16, is well-rated among fellow pros within the game as the six foot three inch tall resolute centre-back is expected to develop into one of the sport’s leading defenders.
The talented centre-back already has captaining his country’s under-17s side on his CV after a string of impressive youth performances have seen him emerge as one of European football’s most highly-rated defenders.
Kambwala is expected to become the latest addition to United’s growing youth academy after the Reds went on a hugely impressive summer youth spending spree.
United’s academy which is headed by the well respected Nick Cox have already snapped up some of Europe’s best young talent having already secured the services of Charlie McNeill from rivals Man City, Alejandro Garnacho from Atletico Madrid, Isak Hansen-Aaroen from Tromso, Alvaro Fernandez from Real Madrid and Marc Jurado from Barcelona (as per TransferMarkt).
Kambwala is expected to become the latest youngster to join-up with the United academy as the Frenchman looks to continue both his domestic and international development.
According to leading journalist Andy Mitten, a deal to bring Kambawala to United is done with the teenager expected to join the Reds’ under-18s squad.
