After finalising Joshua Zirkzee’s arrival and advancing in negotiations for Matthijs de Ligt, Manchester United chiefs are poised to turn their attention to outgoings in the hope of recuperating some money back in the transfer budget.
So far, United have made just £5.4million from player sales this summer; £5m came from Benfica choosing to activate Alvaro Fernandez’s buy clause and just £419,000 was generated from Donny van de Beek’s permanent move to Girona last week.
Young defender Willy Kambwala is expected to join Villarreal imminently, having completed his medical tests in Spain yesterday. United have signed off on an £8.5m package, which includes a sell-on clause and buy-back option.
Now, according to Turkish outlet Taktik Mania, Galatasaray are looking to accelerate their efforts in trying to sign Scott McTominay.
Ibrahim Hatipoglu, a member of the club’s board of directors, said of their pursuit over the weekend: “Scott McTominay’s transfer fee is being discussed.”

McTominay could bid farewell to Old Trafford
Previous reports have suggested that while McTominay is one of Ten Hag’s most trusted lieutenants, United are open to moving him on for the right price. The fact that he’s not guaranteed a starting role heading into the 2024/2025 campaign will presumably make him consider cutting ties with his boyhood club, too.
As the 27-year-old is a Carrington graduate, any fee the Reds receive will be straight profit.

Why the hell did we sell Fernandez. He is a talented left back which we need right now. Absolutely mind boggling. Why have a youth scheme is we don’t utilise it.
Because we have Harry Armas who had a much higher potential.
Harry Amass the most over rated full back. Too small and too slow. He showed nothing against Rosenberg and never showed anything under age that made him stand out. Two years of loans ahead and then let go guaranteed
Why did EtH ship Fernandez out on loan in January, when United had cancelled the loan of Regullion and had two first team left backs on the treatment table.
Bad management not to have had a Plan B, which would have cost United £zero
Because the medical team assured him Shaw will be available in January
