Manchester United after reportedly keen on bringing in FC Porto left-back Alex Telles after a recent report from Portuguese outlet A Bola claimed that United could be set to make a move for the talented Brazilian.
Telles, 27, is arguably one of Europe’s most exciting full-backs as he boasts some seriously impressive offensive attributes showcased in his remarkable numbers.
The attacking defender has featured in a total 193 matches for FC Porto and has been directly involved in a stunning 82 goals with his latest big performance coming last night against Braga in a game which saw him set one up and score twice from the spot.
A Bola’s recent report was echoed yesterday by leading transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano who claimed that Telles may end up pushing for a move away from the club he has spent the last four years with.
Manchester United priority: left back and right winger. Possible also a CB. Tonight #MUFC have been in contact again with Alex Telles agents. He will push to leave Porto on next few days. Man Utd are monitoring and considering an opening bid. There’s also another option as LB. 🔴 https://t.co/PYVtS8GKbR

Telles himself spoke after last night’s game against Braga and was asked about the mounting speculation surrounding his long-term future.
However, in light of the left-back’s comments which didn’t give much away, FC Porto’s head coach Sergio Conceicao has refused to rule out a possible summer departure for his leading full-back, speaking on Sport TV (as quoted by Goal), he said: “I don’t think about it [speculation].
“The market is not about me. I am not a manager, I am a coach and I have to train the players I have. Obviously I would like to count on everyone and if someone else came in, I would not be upset at all.
“I must praise and emphasise Alex’s professionalism.
“It is not easy with all this news to play the game he played today.
“I know the character and personality of the players and I know that until the last day, be it tomorrow or 10 years from now, they will do their best.”
The latest in the quickly developing transfer saga comes from Spanish journalist Jose David Lopez who claims that there will be an offer of around €23m for Telles soon and despite a lot of interest from Premier League and La Liga clubs, Telles’ preferred destination is United.
Lopez’s tweet directly translates to: “There will be an offer this week for Telles, around 23Mill € , he #Porto wants to sell because the contract ends at the end of the course and the footballer is clear that, of the offers he has received (several more from Premier *England Flag* and *Spanish flag* the one he likes the most is the #MUFC.”
