Video: Rafa Benitez still believes his ‘facts’ rant about Ferguson is ‘spot on’

You would think after 11-years Rafael Benitez would learn his lesson, wouldn’t you?

The Spaniard quoted ‘facts’ that weren’t actually facts at all in 2009 and to this day thinks he was ‘spot on’.

Benitez was almost reduced to tears during that press conference, feeling off a load of nonsense about Sir Alex Ferguson and pretended he was talking facts.

When asked about the ‘fact’ episode again in a new Liverpool documentary by the BBC, Benitez explained how it’s still “spot on” to this date.

Watch the video below (via BBC Sport):

It didn’t go down all that well with supporters of Liverpool. In 2015, Steven Gerrard had his say and he was LFC captain at the time. He admitted he was embarrassed by what Benitez said and that he was aware Ferguson was laughing at Benitez, as per ESPN.

Yet here he is, still trying to defend his bizarre outburst. Embarrassing.
