Man United expect tonight’s official bid for van de Beek to be accepted without negotiations

Manchester United are on the brink of making their first senior signing of this summer’s transfer window as Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek edges closer to a dream move to Old Trafford.

van de Beek, 23, has been a target for some of European football’s biggest names including Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, however, it appears United have beaten them all to the signing of van de Beek.

The talented midfielder continued to impress last campaign after being directly involved in 14 goals in 23 domestic matches before the Eredivisie was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this evening, leading journalist Fabrizio Romano broke the news that the 23-year-old Dutchman had agreed personal terms with the Reds and was expected to sign a deal until 2025.

However, as this rapidly accelerating transfer develops, the latest news, which also comes from Romano states that United officials are preparing to launch an official bid within the region of £35m which they expect to be accepted without any need to negotiate.

van de Beek is now expected to officially be announced as a United player as early as next week.
