Three clubs interested in signing Jessie Lingard as Solskjaer plans Man Utd clear-out

Manchester United will reportedly listen to offers for Jessie Lingard and a number of other senior players in the summer transfer window.

The Independent report that Lingard is one of ‘about six players’ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is planning to move on this summer as he looks to refine a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title.

Phil Jones is another name mentioned that United will finally look to offload this summer.

Lingard netted his first Premier League goal since December 2018 on the final day of the season showdown against Leicester, but has consistently failed to deliver for the Reds.

It could be beneficial for both parties if Lingard leaves Old Trafford this summer, and it doesn’t appear that he will be short of potential suitors if he does exit his boyhood club.

According to a report in the Times, Newcastle have joined Italian giants Roma and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach in declaring an interest in the out-of-favour forward.

It is noted that Lingard may get the chance to impress potential new clubs in United’s Europa League campaign which resumes next week.

Despite the criticism he receives, the 27-year-old remains a useful player and could be effective for a different side if he can regain the confidence he had two seasons ago.
