Loads of fans react to first half as Martial enters the United record books

Manchester United and Southampton have reached half-time in tonight’s pivotal clash in the Red’s race for the top-four. After taking a shock lead in the opening 12 minutes with a goal from Stuart Armstrong, United have managed to claw themselves back and into the lead with a quick-fire double from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

In what is a must-win game manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have undoubtedly been worried about his side’s slow and sluggish start to the game.

However, since then, he’s seen his young and fearless side turn it around to put themselves in pole position to finish this evening third in the league table.

Elsewhere, French number nine Martial has entered the United record books after his 23rd minute stunner in what was a trademark rocket of a strike.

La Superbe striker’s latest effort sees him break into United’s top 10 goalscorer list of players to score 50 or more goals for the club.

Fans have now taken to social media to express their thoughts on a roller-coaster of a first half.
