David de Gea to set an impressive landmark for Manchester United this evening

Manchester United number-one David De Gea is set to reach an impressive club landmark this evening after he was included in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting line-up.

The Spanish international is set to make his 399th appearance for the club which will see United’s number-one surpass legend Peter Schmeichel’s record of 398 club appearances.

De Gea has come under intense criticism in recent times due to a string of inconsistent performances and match costing errors.

The Spaniard has been a key part of the Red’s side since manager Solskjaer took charge last year.

Despite criticism of De Gea, manager Solskjaer has always maintained his stance to publicly and passionately defending his number one.

However, the record-breaking keeper’s service to United cannot be underestimated as he will undoubtedly be hoping to recapture his form of old and repay the faith shown in him as his side look to extend their impressive 16 game unbeaten run this evening.

United fans will get to see potential transfer target Jack Grealish in action tonight and we’re sure he will be looking to test De Gea whenever the opportunity arises.

Come on United and congrats De Gea!
