Watch: Man Utd forgotten man Alexis Sanchez with goal and two assists in Inter rout

Manchester United’s forgotten man Alexis Sanchez was back in the headlines for the right reasons with three goal involvements for Inter Milan in a 6-0 rout over Brescia.

The Chilean forward scored a penalty and laid on two assists in a completely dominant performance by Antonio Conte’s men against the Serie A’s bottom placed-side.

It has been confirmed that Sanchez will remain in Italy until the end of the domestic season and he finally now has the opportunity to impress after another frustrating, injury-hit season.

Sanchez linked up brilliantly with ex-United captain Ashley Young for the opening goal and the game soon became a procession after his spot-kick doubled the lead.

The United loanee’s free-kick was then nodded in by Roberto Gagliardini to cap off an impressive performance.

Perhaps a good spell of form in the nine remaining Serie A games will persuade Inter to keep Sanchez beyond this season-long loan spell.

We do not expect the 31-year-old to be part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United plans next season, regardless of whether he shines in the final few games of this campaign.
