Omari Forson signs first professional contract at Man Utd despite Arsenal interest

Some good news during these difficult times.

Manchester United’s highly-rated youngster Omari Forson is set to sign a professional contract, despite interest from Arsenal, as per the Daily Mail.

The 15-year-old midfielder previously played for West Ham and Tottenham before joining United where he is set to stay.

He has gone on to make significant progress, already playing at U-18 level, and developing a reputation as one of the best prospects in English football. That would explain why there is so much interest in him.

Below there’s a closer look at Forson (via FFDTV) as he demonstrates his confidence on the ball, footwork, dribbling ability and awareness.

Of course, it is difficult to assess properly a player based on such vague footage as shown above, so we’ll have to keep an eye on his progression in the youth teams now that he’s earned his first professional contract.

A true milestone in every footballer’s career.

Moreover, it’s easy to see why a young talented player like Forson would stay at Manchester United.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm, youngsters will be rewarded for hard graft, and that’s been the case since day one of the Norwegian’s reign.

Forson does not turn 16 until July and it’s still early days for his development. The coaches have seen something in him and hopefully it blossoms into something special — warranting at place in the first-team.
