Boost for Man Utd as Kalidou Koulibaly admits he’s ready to leave Napoli

Every year hundreds of players are linked to Manchester United.

Sometimes it’s only a matter of an agent name dropping big clubs to build excitement around a player.

Usually when asked about a transfer, they tend to dismiss everything and insist they are happy where they are and that’s the primary focus for now.

However, things are slightly different with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly after he made it clear he’s ready to move on.

Koulibaly is up there with the best defenders in the world and he’d be a great addition for the Premier League.

I mean, what a signing he’d be for United. A rock at the back with plenty of pace and ability to play with the ball at his feet. An ideal partner for Harry Maguire.

Naples outlet Il Mattino claim that Kouliably told club president Aurelio De Laurentiis that he is willing to leave at the end of the season during a phone call, as cited by The Mirror, so long as the offer is suitable.

The report also suggests that United are the team to show the most interest just now, so that could come as a boost to those at Old Trafford.

We can’t blame Koulibaly for wanting to quit Napoli at this time. They have been poor this season and sit sixth in the Serie A standings.

Gennaro Gattuso is currently in charge of the Italian outfit and replacing Carlo Ancelotti earlier this season.
