Gary Neville explains what he specifically likes about Man Utd starlet Brandon Williams

Manchester United fans haven’t had much to cheer about this season, but we are delighted with the progress some of the club’s young players have made in recent months.

Scott McTominay’s influence on the team now is massive, and Mason Greenwood has huge potential. Meanwhile I don’t think anyone really thought Brandon Williams would feature as much as he has done this term but he has been a revelation.

Williams made his senior debut against Rochdale in the Carabao Cup back in September.

A month later he signed a new long-term contract and now he looks like the club’s best left-back, not that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is blessed with options.

Luke Shaw has been disappointing this season and has been overtaken by Williams, who was excellent against Wolves in the FA Cup replay win on Wednesday night.

Former Man Utd full-back and captain Gary Neville tweeted his thoughts on Williams and explained specifically what he likes about him.

“I like Brandon Williams. What I like about him specifically is he has that look in his eye of someone that would eat his opponents nose to win the match. Keep going kid! Oh he can play football to which is always a bonus 👍🏼”

Even Gary Lineker took to Twitter following the 1-0 victory to praise the teenager following his latest performance, tweeting the following: “The more I watch Brandon Williams, the more I like what I see. Another exciting young English talent. 👏🏼👏🏼”

Aside from the fact he’s a brilliant left-back, United fans love that he can handle himself as seen during his altercation with Wolves star Pedro Neto.
