Ed Woodward is not the most popular Manchester United employee; a bizarre video has emerged ahead of this afternoon’s game against FC Astana in Kazakhstan.
As reported by The Sun, United’s Vice-Executive chairman was playing pool in a bar with friends, relaxing ahead of the Europa League clash. But he was then approached by a travelling United fan who gave him a ‘wet willy’.
Woodward was inevitably disgruntled by the incident, which has been captured on camera across the bar.
While fans are within their right to voice their frustration at the United chief for the job he has done since taking over from David Gill, this is a step too far.
United face FC Astana today will qualification already secured for the Europa League knockout stages. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will field a very young squad with Lee Grant, Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe and Jesse Lingard the only travelling senior players.
