Report: Man Utd agree terms with Lazio star Milinkovic-Savic, Serb set to earn £5.4m p/y

Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.

You just don’t know what to believe these days, with reports claiming United have a long-standing interest in Milinkovic-Savic, whp has made 163 appearances for the Serie A side since joining from Belgian outfit Genk in 2015, helping the club win the Coppa Italia in May.

Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that the 24-year-old’s agent, former Chelsea striker Mateja Keman, has been London bound to hold talks with the Red Devils. The publication suggests an agreement has been reached between the player and United.

Though a deal may only happen if Paul Pogba leaves Old Trafford before the transfer window shuts for English clubs on August 8th. It doesn’t close for all countries that early, but United will be extra reluctant to allow the France international leave if it’s too late to find a replacement.

Pogba’s future remains uncertain having been linked to Real Madrid and Juventus all summer.

SMS appears to be the fall back option if Pogba moves on.

It’s reported that the Serbia international would earn an annual salary of £5.4m per year over a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
