Man Utd release 15 players in largest ever summer exodus

Manchester United have released fifteen players this summer in what is their biggest ever summer-clearout.

The Reds have chosen not to give a new contract to club captain Antonio Valencia, who had already confirmed he will leave the club this summer. Meanwhile, Ander Herrera looks set to join French champions PSG on a free transfer.

Juan Mata, however, has been offered a new deal to stay at Old Trafford with his current deal set to run out at the end of this month. The 31-year-old was expected by many to leave this summer after failing to make much of an impact since the arrival of new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
