Mino Raiola played a pivotal role in bringing Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford in 2016 and the super agent could mastermind another big deal with Manchester United this summer.
Raiola represents 20-year-old Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is currently under contract at AC Milan.
But calciomercato.com suggest that Donnarumma’s future at the San Siro is dependent on whether or not Milan can secure a top-four finish at the weekend.
AC must beat SPAL and hope that either Inter or Atalanta slip up in their final game of the season. If that doesn’t happen, it will be another season of Europa League football for AC and that won’t do for Raiola and Donnarumma, according to calciomercato.
The Italian publication claim that PSG and Manchester United are poised to pounce should Milan miss out on the Champions League, with an offer between €60m and €70m possibly enough to tempt the Rossoneri into selling him.
Donnarumma is a superstar – a wonderkid who has played 141 out of a possible 143 games since making his Milan debut in 2015.
He is almost certainly the best goalkeeper in the world in his age bracket and, if United are to lose David de Gea, he would rank high on the list of ideal replacements.
But if his (or his agent’s) decision to leave Milan is based on their potential lack of Champions League football, then United might have a tough job trying to convince him to move to Old Trafford this summer. Then again, perhaps, despite the current state of affairs, the draw of playing in the Premier League for one of the biggest clubs on the planet is still sufficiently strong.
