French outlet reports Ander Herrera to PSG as a done deal

A report from RMC Sport has been cited by Get French Football News claiming that Ander Herrera has finalised an agreement to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Apparently, they’re putting the final touches to his contract with a decision to make it run for 4 or 5 years, but other than that we’re told both parties are in agreement.

Sure, it’s positive news for Herrera who would not have rejected a new contract offer from United if he wanted to stay.

If these rumours are true, United will undoubtedly miss Herrera next season but shouldn’t underestimate that he is a replaceable member of the squad. I could think of many midfielders that would do a better job in our midfield than the former Atletico Bilbao star.

Declan Rice is one target who could arrive this summer following Herrera’s potential exit. The Irish Independent claim United are keen on the England internatioal, who has been terrific for West Ham in the Premier League this season.

And now, it seems Herrera to PSG is a done deal.

RMC claim that “there is no longer any doubt that Ander Herrera will be a PSG player next season.”

Let’s see if United can react by getting some business done during the early stages of the summer transfer market.

Everyone wants to see Solskjaer properly backed as United manager, starting this summer with some clever signings, but he most also be allowed to make calls on the futures of current players. Many of whom don’t deserve to be at a club like Manchester United.
