PSG plot shock move for Manchester United star in January as Luis Enrique frustrations grow

Marcus Rashford found the back of the net of the Sunday, but that is not why he makes the headlines on Monday morning.

The biggest reason for that may be the untimely re-emergence of transfer links, but I’d argue Manchester United’s result at Portman Road is a bigger factor.

United took the lead after 2 minutes through Rashford but were unable to secure three points against Ipswich Town after conceding an equaliser before the break from Omari Hutchinson.

It wasn’t the start Ruben Amorim would have wanted as head coach, but there’s plenty of work for him to do over the coming weeks as well as issues to address.

Although the result didn’t go to plan in Amorim’s first game, he will be impressed by a few performers.

Andre Onana put in a man of the match display with two incredible saves to deny Liam Delap in both halves, while Amad Diallo performed well as a wing-back in the new formation.

It’s a bonus that Rashford, who started as our centre-forward, scored after just two minutes of play.

These are all results of small changes Amorim has made to the team, with exception to Onana’s performance because he’s kept most clean sheets in the Premier League this season and was unlucky not to record another yesterday.

Reports suggest Luis Enrique finds his attacking department inadequate at Paris Saint-Germain.

While they’re flying in Ligue 1, PSG are struggling in the Champions League as they’re positioned 25th in the current standings.

As a result, TEAMtalk believe PSG could target a move for Rashford in January.

The report claims PSG and Rashford’s representatives met in the summer and could meet again before January.

It seems points as United’s hierarchy maintain Rashford, now 27, isn’t available.

We know that every player has their price but PSG didn’t make this offer in the summer. There’s no way United would let Rashford go midway through the season and I don’t think anyone is going to make an offer to make us think twice about it.

United have been linked with an array of attackers since the arrival of Amorim, but I’m sure he is going to give Rashford a chance in the centre-forward role after seeing him score in his first game.

It’s weird timing for these reports but it’s not the first time Rashford has been linked with a move to PSG.
