According to journalist David Amoyal, Manchester United are interested in signing England’s World Cup hero Kieran Trippier.
Trippier, 28, has struggled for form this season in what has been an indifferent campaign for the defender. Although, Pochettinho still favours the player who has contributed to Tottenham’s sensational run to the Champions League semi-finals.
There is little doubt Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must prioritise the signing of a right-back this summer, in one of many positions that must be addressed if United are to challenge for major honours next season.
Though Trippier would not represent the most youthful of options the Reds to sign, and the club will face competition from Serie A giants Napoli for the defender’s signature. Daniel Levy is also a renowned tough negotiator who will not let his man go on the cheap.
Check out some fan reaction to reports of a move for Trippier, with Aaron Wan Bissaka favoured to the England international:

We’ll overpay, and then Tottenham will grab Wan-Bisaka for cheaper.

I want a name of a player Man United don't want. And Ashley Young doesn't count, for obvious reasons! We seem to be in the market for everyone at the moment. Making it so difficult for us real fans to tell fact from fiction! Ridiculous really… #MUFC
