Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth believes Manchester United could sign Gareth Bale this summer.

The Welsh forward is facing an uncertain future at Real Madrid beyond the current transfer window.

He has been linked with a potential switch to Manchester United and Bayern Munich in recent months, but the 28-year-old has enjoyed a lot of success at Real Madrid following four Champions League titles and the La Liga crown.

United are some way off achieving such a feat yet signing Bale would be a massive step towards making it a reality.

Bale came off the bench to score a match-winning brace in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against Liverpool in Kiev two months ago to leave his mark on the showpiece.

But Sheth believes Bale’s behaviour this summer indicates a move is on the cards.

“I don’t know,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast. “It’s out of character for Bale to come out and talk about his future. It says something to me.”

The Reds finished in second spot in the Premier League last season to ensure Champions League qualification, although fans demand more since the club failed to deliver a single piece of silverware.

Next term, we must catch up with City and take the title back where it belongs.
