It didn’t look good for Eric Bailly.

As Dean Henderson jumped into the back of Eric Bailly to retrieve the ball his knee crashed into the defender’s head.

Thankfully it was just a knock and he’s okay, as confirmed by the player himself on Twitter.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn’t reveal much about Bailly’s injury in his post-match interview with BT Sport, as seen here, but reckoned it was a knock to the centre-back’s neck rather than his head.

Bailly posted on Twitter: “Good job by the team to advance in the #FACup. I am OK, it was just a knock.”

At least it’s not as bad as first feared!

We published footage earlier of Bailly trying to persuade United’s medical staff to let him play on, but it was decided to take him off before the break, replaced by Harry Maguire.

United have some big games coming up — Brighton and Liverpool — and Bailly has been in top form lately.

It would be a shame if the Ivorian missed out on our trip to Anfield.
