Fabrizio Romano confirms Manchester United’s interest in Benjamin Sesko, but he insists that the latter isn’t the only striker wanted by INEOS.
The Premier League giants have been working on revamping their attacking department this summer. They have already signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, from Wolves and Brentford, respectively. However, their new-look frontline would remain incomplete without a top-notch centre-forward, especially based on Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles last season.
However, the club has found little joy in this mission. They began their summer by missing out on Liam Delap who instead declared for Chelsea, while Viktor Gyokeres is on the cusp of joining Arsenal. Therefore, Man Utd are still searching the market for a new No.9 whose identity has yet to be unveiled, albeit Sesko’s name has been in the mix for quite some time now.

In the latest video update posted on his official YouTube channel, Romano revealed that United are well and truly interested in Sesko, thus confirming what has been reported in recent days. However, the Italian journalist insists that the club has yet to submit a concrete offer.
The 22-year-old Slovenian has been highly impressive for RB Leipzig since making the move from their sister club RB Salzburg in the summer of 2023. He found the net on 27 occasions in 63 Bundesliga appearances. However, the German side is requesting at least €80 million to part ways with the bomber.

Therefore, Man Utd continue to keep tabs on several other options. As Romano explains, the club has had internal discussions over Sesko, as well as Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson.

There is noway we should even think about Jackson he’s Chelsea’s third choice striker so why on earth would we be interested in spending money that is short on a third choice striker & then make him our first choice that’s crazy we might as well stick with hojlund & zirczee at least they are not going to cost us anymore Watkins is a reasonable player but there is no chance villa will sell him or at least not in the price range we can afford so that only leaves one unless the recruitment team can do their job and come up with a quality unknown for a good price ( oh for another Ollie)

Hearing that Man u. Are interested in Nicolas Jackson, I always get heart attack do the think Chelsea will sell a good player to man united, if he’s good why do they buy Delap and Pedro, so Man United should wise up.
The greatest mistake man united will make is to sign Jackson. A player that someone from a religated team is benching.

He has strength, mobility, great pace, makes intelligent runs and has very good finishing skills with powerful shooting with both feet. He has great technique on the ball too. He is absolutely the last top striker available after Osimhen and all the other striker options. have been snapped up. Sell Garnacho and yo acquire most of Sesko’s transfer fee.
