Alejandro Garnacho has just seen his suitors reduced yet again amid his ongoing quest to seal a Manchester United exit.

The Argentine international was made available for sale at the start of the summer but has yet to receive any formal approaches, leaving him in a hugely uncertain situation with 2025/2026 now just a month away.

Garnacho is also one of five players to have informed United of their desire to leave before the window closes, along with Antony, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Tyrell Malacia. They are training separately and at different times of the day than the first-team squad, who are preparing to embark on the forthcoming pre-season tour.

Fans have been deliberating whether Ruben Amorim and the United board have shot themselves in the foot with their approach to their outcast players, given their values have plummeted after it was made public that the club were desperate to offload them.

Had Amorim bitten his tongue and involved the Reds throughout the summer, even if he had no intentions of utilising them next season, it may have put INEOS in a better bargaining position when outlining their price tags.

For example, it was revealed in the aftermath of the Europa League final that Garnacho’s post-match antics – during which he labelled the side’s season as ‘sh*t’ and challenged Amorim’s decision to bench him for the fixture – resulted in the manager telling him to ‘pray’ he could find another club.

The forward was subsequently omitted from the matchday squad for the final game of the term at home to Aston Villa.

Napoli close off prospect of returning for Garnacho

Back in January, United rebuffed a £40m bid for Garnacho that came from Napoli before making it clear they valued their academy graduate in the region of £60m

One report last week suggested the Serie A champions could revive their interest by returning with a £45m proposal. However, their recent acquisition has all but ruled out any potential pursuit of the 21-year-old.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Napoli have secured the signing of winger Noa Lang, who has arrived in Italy to undergo his medical tests today.

  1. The coach and Manchester United’s top hierarchy are to blame partly for the outgoiing transfer woes. They miscalculated the negatives sequel to their demarketing remarks that may impact on the potential sales of their outcast players. No club would value them much any longer. They should guard their expressions onwards.

  2. I think they should have done exactly what you have written also if Garnacho had of played in the final we’d have had a better chance so he had a right to speak out the manger made some very strange decisions last season which cost us some games mabe im wrong but thats my opinion and id like to see him staying for another season to prove himself and mybe a few others as well at least till Christmas

  3. What Garnacho needs to learn and maybe he is that unless he changes his attitude on and off the field no team will want him . And if a team is to take him it will be on low wages and a short term contract . The ball is in his court as they s say . Look what happened to Ravel Morrison say no more
