Manchester United could be set to receive a significant financial boost thanks to their former player, Anthony Elanga.
The 23-year-old is a MUFC academy product who had to leave the club in search of a prominent role after struggling for space during Erik ten Hag’s first season at Old Trafford. The Swede ended up signing for Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023 on a deal worth circa £15 million.
Last season, Elanga played an instrumental role in the club’s Champions League push. Although Nuno Espirito Santo’s men had to settle for a place in the Conference League after losing their steam in the final weeks, it remains an incredible campaign for the team, and certainly one to remember for the former Man Utd winger who contributed with 6 goals and 11 assists in his 38 EPL appearances.
Newcastle hellbent on signing United youth product Antony Elanga

In the end, Elanga’s exploits didn’t go unnoticed, as Fabrizio Romano reveals that Newcastle have launched a major onslaught to secure his services. While Forest have yet to respond, this offer could prove too tempting to resist.
This potential deal would also have a major impact on Man Utd who had reportedly reserved themselves a 15% sell-on fee when they sold Elanga to Forest.
Therefore, if Newcastle manage to sign the Swede for £55 million, a figure of circa £8 million would head to the Red Devils.
Man United could finally seal the Bryan Mbeumo deal
This unexpected windfall would prove to be a timely boost for the Red Devils who have yet to unlock the Bryan Mbeumo deal, despite presenting Brentford with a new and improved offer.
Nevertheless, with eight more million in the coffers, INEOS might finally have the resources to make one final push which could prove to be decisive, and finally bring the 25-year-old Cameroonian to Old Trafford.
While many in the fanbase are still rueing the hasty sale of Elanga, perhaps his potential role in unlocking Mbeumo would soften the blow.
So the idea is to waste the extra £8 million on top of what we’ve offered for Mbeumo which is going back to the bad old days of overpaying for a player
man u are so stupid, don’t learn from mistakes, big ego, always buy big players are not effective, buy unknown players but don’t develop, why don’t you try to buy cheap players and make them into expensive and big players, like what brendford bournemouth did, moises caicedo, mitoma, yoanne wissa. in this case don’t try to buy free transfer players, angel gomes, jonathan david, like marcus thuram before, polished into big players.
It’s about time we signed Mbeumo. It’s dragging on far too long. We need other areas of the pitch covered and should be trying to get players out.
It’s about time we sign mbeumo and fill other soft spot in the team

We’re overpaying for players, that’s why every club stick to guns when it concerns United. I suggest we look elsewhere.
For me, if Brentford refused the third bid, we should look elsewhere. I think what we offered so far is enough to get Bryan Mbeumo signed.
After Mbeumo, we should go for Osimhen, then a good defensive midfielder.
Osimhen, Amad, Mbeumo, Onana, Mazraoui,, this would be a disaster if they go to Africa cup of nations
Mbuemo, is not worth the money that is being asked for. Play Fernandes as a 10. Mazraoui / Dalot
as RWB. Diallo rotates with Fernandes for the 10 spot.
We should get Mbeumo’s deal done today ✅
And try and get Osimhen deal done too.
We don’t have time and all this new players need to report to training ground ahead of our pre-season so they can adapt with the manager’s pattern or style of play.
Over pay for him. Then he goes missing for 8 to 10 games to play in African Nations Cup. People at United just don’t learn, do they?
Towards that tournament, they will forge an injury then he stay for cub duty 🤫
Man u should look for another player not mbeumo” leo of ac milian is better option and other players
We don’t know how to do our transfer business properly buy a keeper and a striker and forget about mbomer why get hold to ramson every season and nobody don’t want to buy back our players just walk away we will survive
I think to sign Mbeumo is a very good move’ but the bad part of our recruitement is by prolong the process of the deal, the spreeding of our interest in social media that always open up the eyes of other clubs; we are not doing our plans on the closed doors. Now after Mbeumo’ we are in need of real killers not a simple striker and they must be two with quality, then in between we can play our youth strikers to learn from the real killers, in defendsive midfield we had Urgate, Cassamiro to transform our young defendsive Midfielders. Let us sell all the others lazy players please, the system of our Coach is very clear’ attack and defend at the same time finish!!!!
To me the thing is, mbeumo has just 1yr left in his contract with brenfrd. & he is willing 2play 4unitd and his has rejected de first & second bid, if am untd board i wil walk away. Why( bcuz 1. by january transfer wil reopen so what u do is, dialoug with mbuemo nt 2sign an xtension with his team no matter the internal presure. by then he wil av just 6month left in his contract & untd wil return with 15 million & brntfd wil beg 4 atleast 25milion with bonus instd of losing him 4free. Dat the fomat mardrid re using to sign. Then on the main time i wil cal bck ganacho 2the team since he stil has alot of yrs in his contract utd. After seeing off rashford & sancho & Anthony i wil swap hujlund with nappoli with cash of 35milion or 40. for (ohsimen) then aftr that i wil bring inn a top keeper to Onana & like matinez of vila 2make Onana serious & a top mifilder like Ederson & wilfrd Ndidi Aftr that if i can sign Arujo of bacca atleast 35 to 40milion. & utd re good to go we no go compete 4 top 10 but top4 & league.
