Manchester United have reportedly named their price for Marcus Rashford who has officially returned to the club.

The 27-year-old was ousted from Ruben Amorim’s plans back in December, which prompted his exit in January.  Rashford signed for Aston Villa on loan with an option to buy for £40 million, and he managed to produce solid displays under Unai Emery.

However, the Englishman’s stint has now expired, with the Birmingham-based club deciding against keeping him on a permanent basis. This is mainly due to the absence of Champions League football next season, which will deprive the club of sizable revenues in prize money.

Hence, Rashford is officially a Manchester United player once more, but Amorim has no desire to reinstate the player, so INEOS will have to find him a new club.

Rashford makes temporary Man Utd return

In the latest video uploaded on his official YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Man Utd still want £40 million to sell their academy product.

The England international has long been dreaming about a move to Barcelona, but this transfer might be difficult to materialise, especially amidst the Catalans’ FFP troubles and their vigorous pursuit of Nico Williams.

Moreover, The Athletic’s Mark Critchley believes Man United might find it difficult to offload Rashford this summer, especially at the current asking price.

The journalist reveals that the Old Trafford outfit has only been receiving loan proposals thus far, with no suitors making an offer to buy the Manchester native on a permanent transfer.

This is certainly a blow for INEOS as they are keen to raise funds by selling Amorim’s outcast, especially Rashford who remains one of the club’s highest earners with a weekly salary of £325,000.

In addition to the Englishman, the Red Devils are also keen to find buyers for Jadon Sancho, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and potentially Rasmus Hojlund.

  1. Every year this is our problem. We can’t sell or swap unwanted players because of high wages. The contracts offered to some players in the past were ridiculous and Woodward and Arnold were the culprits. Rashford, Antony, Casemiro, Sancho, are all on high wages that other clubs won’t entertain. You would think with the World Cup coming up next year that these players would want to play football to have a chance of going to this tournament with their Countries, but they would rather sit on the bench and be paid their high wages than go to where they can play football. That is the way footballers of today are advised by their agents. It is enough to turn anyone against football.

  2. I’m afraid that rashford & Sancho are just greedy they have no love for the game only there bank balance if we can’t find a club for them they should be stuck in the reserves with no admission to the first team facility s and under no circumstances should they be allowed to dictate or hold the club to ransom to get a transfer to the club of their joice unless that club is willing to pay the asking price

  3. Marcus Rashford’s future is once again in the spotlight after his loan spell at Aston Villa officially ended. 필스토리
