In what could come as a substantial boost for Ruben Amorim, Chelsea are seemingly turning their attention to other wing targets than Alejandro Garnacho.
Indeed, the Blues have been heavily linked with Garnacho since the beginning of the window – almost instantaneously after David Ornstein revealed Manchester United would be open to selling the 20-year-old – whose potential sale would generate pure profit for the club – in order to create more room for manoeuvre around the Profit and Sustainability laws.
While INEOS aren’t closed off to Garnacho’s exit, it doesn’t seem as though Ruben Amorim is of the same viewpoint. He opted to omit the winger from last month’s Manchester derby before restoring him to the squad for the following week, and, in four of the last five matches, Garnacho has been given the nod.
In any case, why would a manager be open to selling one of his most game-changing players? The eight-capped Argentine international has notched eight goals and five assists in 34 appearances this term, prompting analyst StatmanDave to hail him as the Reds’ ‘most impactful’ forward.
Chelsea switch attention to Garnacho alternative in final days of window

Luckily for Amorim and the United faithful, they may no longer have to worry about a direct Premier League rival getting their hands on Garnacho, as the Blues have now set their sights on Bayern Munich wantaway Mathys Tel.
Having initially approached the 19-year-old when the window first opened, Chelsea have since been handed a substantial boost in their hopes of landing his signature after learning of his desire to leave the Bundesliga giants before Monday’s deadline
Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg adds that Todd Boehly and Co. will now ‘resume talks’ to sign the Frenchman. Assuming they progress positively, they would then put an end to their pursuit of Garnacho.
That being said, United are also in the mix for the wantaway Bayern starlet’s signature and could ignite their move in the event Garnacho or Marcus Rashford depart.
If Garnacho does go, we will most definitely bring in a top forward. I would rather Rashford go, but whatever will be, we need a goalscoring forward. I would like to see Amorim promote some more youngsters to the squad instead of half of those on the bench who we never use. Obi Martin, Biancheri, and Scanlon, are top goalscorers, and he should give them a chance.
It’s good news but i would love to se Chido Obi drafted into the main team. I think he has alot to offer. Our attack line is blunt.
