Reports suggest Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface.
According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, United have set their sights on the 23-year-old Nigeria international, who is currently injured.
🚨🆕 Victor #Boniface is one of many strikers on Manchester United’s shortlist. If at all, an (expensive) sale would only become a serious topic next summer.

Boniface has a decent recent for Leverkusen after registering 29 goals and 11 assists in 49 games for the Bundesliga outfit.
Manchester United will be scouting the striker market over the coming months after being linked with a host of different potential targets.
The arrival of Ruben Amorim has led to United becoming favourites to sign Sporting CP talisman Viktor Gyokeres, who will have interest from Bayern Munich and other Premier League clubs.
United will also look at alternative options in the market to see whether they can find a better deal and enhance their recruitment strategy driven by youthful talent.
Strikers not delivering at Manchester United
After just four wins in the first 14 games of the season, scoring just 20 goals in all competitions, it should be no surprise that we are back talking about strikers at United.
Rasmus Hojlund is still coming to terms with having the responsibility of being United’s main threat in attack, but he’s craving more service in forward positions. The Denmark international has two goals in 13 outings this season.
New signing Joshua Zirkzee looks very passive on the front foot. You rarely see him making darting runs into the box or looking to get on the end of a cross. Fans were buzzing when he scored on his debut but he’s failed to score another in the previous 17 games.
Amorim trailed Marcus Rashford as the centre forward against Ipswich Town and he scored inside two minutes before doing nothing for the rest of the game.
The new head coach has a lot to fix but one of his biggest problems will be finding goals in this team. It’s been starved of goals for years now and we haven’t got an experienced goalscorer to rely on.
