‘Technically brilliant’ Utd ace has been offered to Serie A giants, INEOS will want him gone for one key reason

Of the six Manchester United players out of contract in 2025, you’d expect that at least four of them are certain to leave.

Indeed, experienced Reds Tom Heaton, Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen are all likely well aware that they’re now navigating their final season at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Harry Magurie and Amad Diallo will presumably have their one-year options activated in the coming months, with the attacker in talks over a new and improved deal entirely.

The departing quartet are free to open talks with foreign clubs in January, which also poses as the last opportunity United have to try and recuperate a fee for any player.

Alas, judging by reports coming out of Italy today, INEOS are trying to offload Lindelof in hopes of gaining at least some fee – however small it may be – before he potentially leaves for nothing next June.

Tuttusport claims the Sweden international, whom counterpart Maguire hailed as ‘technically brilliant’ last year, has been offered to Juventus amidst their search for a stop-gap centre-half acquisition due to Juan Cabal’s injury.

You can’t imagine Ruben Amorim would be too fazed by Lindelof’s prospective mid-season exit, either. His fitness record in recent seasons has left a lot to be desired – when United were set on selling him in the summer, he sustained an injury and was therefore unable to make a transfer away.

The 30-year-old has made seven appearances in 2024/2025, three of which have come from the off. He has yet to start a Premier League match thus far and has only featured for a total of 58 minutes in the opening 11 matches.

A suspected setback to Lisandro Martinez, who has just withdrawn from Argentina duty with a ‘knock’, may see Lindelof promoted in the pecking order, although Leny Yoro’s imminent return may extend his streak of being overlooked.
